The nature of this course ensures that it’s applicable to professionals working within both the wellness and healthcare sectors. Learners will discover methods for improving the health and athletic performance of individuals, no matter their age, through an understanding of how different bodies react and adapt to the stresses of exercise. Adjunct Professor, Program in Human Biology, Stanford University
Dr. Friedlander has broad experience in the areas of enhancing human performance, environmental physiology, and using physical activity and mobility to promote healthy aging. She has been teaching exercise physiology classes for decades to diverse audiences and specializes in translating scientific findings on physiology and exercise into practical applications for people. Dr. Friedlander also consults regularly with exercise physiology start-up companies interested in developing new products, programs and ideas in the fitness and wellness space. Dr. Friedlander received her Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of California, Berkeley.
